Acupuncture

Acupuncture originates from traditional Chinese medicine but today is widely accepted by the western world as an effective tool to relieve pain and treat a range of medical conditions. There is conclusive scientific evidence to show that acupuncture can offer pain relief to people of all ages, suffering from a wide range of conditions.

Acupuncture involves the insertion of very fine stainless-steel needles into the skin. This stimulates the muscle tissue to produce endorphins and oxytocin, the bodies own pain and stress relieving chemicals. It also stimulates nerve fibres to block out pain signals and can help reduce the sensitivity of tender points on the body.

Acupuncture does not hurt. During the treatment you may experience sensations of mild tingling, slight soreness / numbness along the skin channel that is being stimulated.
